Handling
If one is single, inevitably one will make a move in their dating approach that will fall horribly wide of their mark; it’s just the law of averages that not all opening salvos or seeming attractions will work all of the time. One is at a club or somewhere and trying to get laid and something will start to slip. You may say something wrong, or the mood changes, or some other monkey wrench is thrown into the mix. You have a choice to make in very short order. Do you abandon the plans and withdraw or do you press on and try to recover?
It can be a tricky dilemma to solve but if you are quick witted you can often turn things around. When all else fails you can resort to the truth and simply come clean. This can often elicit a positive response and can get you back on track in no time. When things begin to go wrong you must be able to detect where and when the slip has occurred and take appropriate measures immediately to limit the damage control you will have to do.
Sometimes a date faux pas may be no fault of your own, and you yourself are doing well. You just need to guide the situation back into the direction you want it to go. You may need to make the suggestion that it is a good time to leave and relocate. This can provide you with more privacy and a little more control over the entire situation. You may well be able to not only recover but get ahead and possibly even get into some slightly naughty situations with your intended and quickly diffuse whatever mistake it was that you made. Ideally one might want to save the fuck for last, maybe not even indulge everything all at the same first time, still there is a lot to be said for complete success in the face of almost abject defeat!
The bottom line is that getting action in the singles’ scene is still a very viable option even if things start to turn worse. As long as you can detect things swiftly enough and take evasive measures you can put things back where they need to be. There will occasionally be moments where you must completely abandon things, but always try recovery first, always attempt to handle yourself and the situation.
